Powerups

Current game powerup list:

Snake

Shooting the snake powerup into an enemy's wormhole will spawn a hostile snake onto their field. The snake will wander the enemy's field eating all of their unclaimed powerups and growing larger with each one absorbed. When it spots the player's ship it will try to attack them. The larger the snake becomes the more dangerous it is, so take this enemy out quickly.

Asteroids

The asteroids powerup sends a large crowd of asteroids into your opponent's field from a random direction. This powerup is slightly delayed from the initial attack time because the asteroids need time to drift into the field, but when combined with other powerups this can be very effective.

Bombs

This powerup will send a small cluster of bombs that explode with a large blast radius. They are effective against players that are distracted or cannot react quickly because while they are very powerful they are easy to dodge or disarm. If you are within its radius and you shoot it it can explode prematurely so it may be better to avoid completely.

Fighter drones small ships that will actively seek out and attack players. They have a small amount of armor and can attack with quick bursts that can quickly cause trouble. They are very effective at causing damage against unaware enemies as well as distracting against for more attacks. Each sent powerup will send four fighters into your opponent's field. Be very cautious of swarms of fighters because they can be devastating.

Gunship

The gunship is a large ship that has a large amount of armor, a powerful primary laser cannon, and an accurate defense turret. It's main weakness is its speed and maneuverability. The gunship will wander the quadrant looking for the player with its large attack range. If the player is sighted, it will aim with a visible laser sight and attempt to fire its main cannon if the target is locked. If the player approaches the gunship its defense cannons will automatically fire at the player. The best way to take this beast down is to keep a medium distance and fire continuously at it while dodging the defense shots.

Nuke

The nuke is a large bomb that will explode ten seconds after it has been sent through a wormhole. The explosion is extremely large and nearly unavoidable, so make sure you destroy these before the countdown is finished. If you find a nuke that is about to explode, you can shoot a stored powerup for an instant kill. When you destroy a nuke it will always leave a powerup behind so you can send it back.

Mine Layer

This powerup sends three mine layers into the target's quadrant. These mine layers will bounce through the field laying mines as they travel. If you touch the mine layer you will not be hurt, but the mines they lay will damage your ship. If these aren't taken down quickly the field will quickly become full of mines and be very difficult to maneuver through.

Circle Shot

This attack sends a circle of laser shots out of your wormhole into your opponent's field. They are easy to dodge on their own, but when combined with other powerups this can be difficult to avoid without being hit by something else. They also accelerate quickly away so the further from the wormhole you are the harder they are to see coming.

Heat-seeker

The heat-seeker is a missile that targets the player and quickly accelerates to attack. It is 100% accurate and will never miss the player, however, it can be easily destroyed by one laser shot. They are very useful as primary attacks when the player is distracted or busy and usually cause the damaging hit. The further away from the wormhole you are the faster the heat-seeker will be, so if you wander away from the center be careful of these attacks.

Spiral Shot

This attack, like the circle shot, sends a large group of laser shots into your opponent's field. This will send them in a spiral pattern and much more slowly, however, so it is more useful as a distraction or as clutter than a primary attack.

Laser Beam

The laser beam attack generates a large beam of energy from your wormhole in your opponent's field that slowly rotates. This effectively prevents the opponent from moving to half of the field without getting hit while it is active. It is also very stack-able, because if you send multiple laser beams it can possibly split the field further into a fourth of the field or even less with more. It is useful as an attack supplement but not as a primary attack.

Wall Shot

This powerup sends a shotgun-like burst of laser shots towards your enemy through your wormhole. It aims at where the player will be using the direction it is currently moving so in order to dodge it you need to change direction. This is effective as a primary attack against a player that is not very mobile or could be caught off guard.

Spikes

This will cause your enemy's walls to grow large, damaging spikes that can disrupt a player's movement through their field. They get much larger with each sequential spike sent when another spike is currently active, so sending in even two or three spikes is much more effective than just one. They are useful for slowing down the player or punishing them if they are not careful.
